Position Overview:

FOREO has an immediate need for an inspirational, talented and hands-on Operations Director to join our award-winning Las Vegas, NV team. The individual in this role will drive continuous improvement and optimization of all operational processes. In addition, the Operations Director will oversee all daily operations of North and South American distribution centers, ensuring process and procedures are strictly adhered to. He/She will develop processes that will maximize leadership, safety and compliance, quality and productivity. The Operations Director will work in a fast-paced and multicultural environment, with ample opportunities to grow and learn from other colleagues in various global offices throughout our organization. The Operations Director will report directly to the COO, with dotted lines to both the North America GM and South America GM.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide weekly reporting on operations activity to Global office
  • Drive and implement operational systems, processes and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being, reduce waste and exceed customer expectations
  • Oversee the purchasing of materials, manage stock and inventory controls and ensure warehouse efficiency
  • Contribute towards the achievement of the company’s strategic and operational objectives
  • Promote continuous improvement through leadership, guidance and education
  • Lead, coach, and develop talent to support all objectives, operational goals and company growth
  • Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards, if opportunity arises
  • Effectively manage budgets and costs in line with the business activities to effectively allocate resources and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
  • Ensure key performance indicators are in place and hold staff accountable to achieve set targets, including production, product quality, and on-time shipping
  • Ensure timely and correct internal information flow with other departments within the organization, with the intent of supporting the environment of continuous improvement
  • Analyze process workflow, employee and space requirements and equipment layout to implement changes if and when needed
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing safety standards and procedures in compliance with the legal regulations
  • Forecast all requirements, analyses variances, and initiate corrective actions where needed
  • Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality assurance control processes
  • Ensure compliance and documentation with international shipping regulations, as well as with local laws at shipping destinations, to include ISO
  • Build and manage relationships with vendors
  • Organize and provide needed reporting to higher management
  • Stay abreast with latest production management best practices, rules and regulations impacting operations
  • Other duties as assigned, to include various ad-hoc research projects and/or special projects

Required/Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • B.S., B.A. or MBA in business administration, management or another related field preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant multi-site operations management experience, preferably in FMCG/Cosmetic industry
  • Solid understanding of ISO, FDA, sales, supply chain, inventory control, strategic planning, design shipping solution, budgeting, facility maintenance and equipment, vendor management and resource allocation
  • Understanding of ANVISA & MERCOSUR requirements highly preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of management experience including hiring, coaching, performance management, daily operations, and human resources
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to clearly communicate in both English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to communicate in Portuguese strongly preferred
  • Results-driven – be comfortable working on analytical tasks, trend forecasting and be comfortable reporting results to members of the management and executive team
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional relationships with both internal and external partners
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel) and Google Drive
  • Must be detail oriented and able to handle complex instructions with care and follow-through
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to think “outside of the box”
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in execution of assigned tasks
  • You’ll need to be flexible with your schedule. Your work hours will be based on business needs
  • Ability to adapt to changes and work in a fast paced, demanding environment
  • Ability to travel (both domestically/internationally)
