FOREO has an immediate need for an inspirational, talented and hands-on Sales & Education Lead to join our award-winning Tokyo, Japan team. In turn, we offer an exciting and dynamic working environment. 

Position Overview:

Under general supervision of Japan’s Country Sales Manager, the Sales and Education Lead will directly contribute to the success of FOREO’s sales and education program in Tokyo, Japan. The individual will be responsible for the development of our brand and the growth of our sales, by building and executing marketing and education initiatives with our existing retail accounts in Japan. The Sales and Education Lead will oversee other staff in support of their education and sales duties. The Sales and Education Lead will also be supervising a growing team of sales support freelancers, while defining targets and budgets for each of their areas and Japan as a whole. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage a team of Regional Sales and Education Specialists
  • Supporting staff in Product training & field support for large Retail Accounts
  • Provide guidance in event planning and store promotions
  • Develop relationships with buyers and owners of independent spas
  • Create and maintain stock level tracking sales reporting on a National level
  • Be the liaison and active participant in exploring marketing opportunities
  • Provide management support to other Regional Sales and Education Specialists in relation to their management of freelancers 
  • Provide support to staff in prospecting local premium spas and beauty boutiques suitable to carrying our devices 
  • Provide support to staff in PO management, orders and shipping processes
  • Grow revenue to meet annual targets
  • Build a deep understanding of the FOREO brand and accurately represent this to staff, providing them with in depth knowledge and additional training, when necessary 
  • Collaborate with the sales & marketing teams on new campaigns and strategies to increase market exposure and new business 

Required/Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor Degree in marketing or another related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of proven sales/key account management in luxury beauty or personal care retail industry 
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Professional knowledge of cosmetic, wellness or similar industry preferred
  • Strong account management and relationship building skills
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate in Japanese, both verbally and in writing
  • Adequate business level of spoken and written English to communicate among other offices/colleagues internally 
  • Sense of initiative, and being able to work independently
  • Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines autonomously, as well as multitask in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience of managing major national accounts
  • Proactive and highly self-motivated
  • Occasional national and international travel is required
