FOREO has an immediate need for an inspirational, talented and hands-on Senior Staff Accountant to join our award-winning Las Vegas, NV team. In turn, we offer an exciting and dynamic working environment.

Position Overview:

Under general direction, the Senior Staff Accountant will manage accounting and financial support, to include supervision of all accounting and finance personnel. He/she will be assigned to perform high level accounting tasks and financial reporting requested by the General Manager, Global CFO and members of the management team. The Senior Staff Accountant is also responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure that company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies and US GAAP/IFRS. Primary responsibilities may include: planning and organizing financial information in support of management; preparing and assisting in the preparation of year end closings, audits, contracts, financial statements, financial documents, analysis and other various reporting. In addition, the individual in this role is responsible for establishing and maintaining records and reporting in accordance with legal guidelines. This is a solutions-oriented role, requiring collaborative and innovative leadership in support of the entire organization. The Senior Staff Accountant will report directly to the Controller.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee, supervise and support all activities of accounting and finance operations, to include:

          * Supervise the day-to-day finance activities, such as bookkeeping (i.e. general ledger maintenance);

          * Invoicing (AR), collections and accounts payable

          * Payroll processing

          * Inventory count and reconciliation

  • Expenses allocation
  • Manage Finance interactions cross-functionally with other teams as necessary, including Global Finance team, HR, IT, Legal, Logistics as well as other parts of the company
  • Provide support with local tax compliance such as import/export tax planning and reporting 

          * Annual tax filings

  • Cash Flow Management
  • Promote continuous improvement through leadership, guidance and education
  • Provide advice, counsel and management of accounting and financial actions; ensures all applicable legal guidelines and best practices are followed
  • Build/enhance internal controls on key risk areas; implement rules and procedures to accommodate local and group reporting requirements
  • Ensure financial records are maintained and reported in compliance with companies policies and US GAAP
  • File income, property, sales and use tax, payroll and other local taxes. Provide insurance reports and other reports as requested 
  • Collaborate, prepare and assist for internal and external audits
  • Serve as an employee point of contact to finance procedures, accounting and payroll related questions
  • Stays abreast of financial/accounting trends by participating in educational opportunities
  • Drive the selection, implementation and upgrades of all financial systems and processes to ensure that we are maximizing our use of technology in streamlining operations and scaling with the complex nature of our workforce
  • Ensure timely and accurate analysis, benchmarking, preparation presentation, and communication of Finance KPI’s and metrics to the management
  • Other duties as assigned, to include various ad-hoc research projects and/or special projects

Required/Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting or another related field required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of previous accounting experience required
  • Relevant certifications in field, in good standing, preferred (i.e. CPA)
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive financial and proprietary information
  • The ability to move between strategic thinking and rolling-up your sleeves to tackle operational work
  • Strong emotional intelligence, integrity, and pride in serving as a Finance subject matter/technical expert
  • Ability to clearly communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to build effective work relationships, influence behavior, and manage change
  • Intermediate proficiency with G-Suite applications
  • Strong analytical and math skills
  • Must be detail oriented and able to handle complex instructions with care and follow-through
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in execution of assigned tasks
  • Ability to adapt to changes and work in a fast paced, demanding environment
  • Dependable and proactive, with the ability to prioritize workload and use time efficiently
