FOREO has an immediate need for an inspirational, talented and hands-on Social Media Coordinator/Lead to join our award-winning Tokyo, Japan team. In turn, we offer an exciting and dynamic working environment.

Position Overview:

The Social Media Coordinator/Lead is responsible for enhancing, growing and developing our brand’s social media personality and strategy. The Social Media Coordinator/Lead will be responsible for building upon and implementing innovative social media strategies reflective of FOREO’s brand with the goal of growing the audience and engagement across all platforms and delivering valuable traffic to site. The successful candidate will also be required to collect and review social media data to develop more effective campaigns. Additionally, this individual will lead the charge on increasing FOREO’s following and helping to engage, retain and convert leads into followers and customers. Primary responsibilities include: managing the social media accounts for an editorial or commercial brand, leveraging each social media channel’s characteristics and algorithms to make online content visible, clickable, compelling and shareable.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop, plan and implement a social media and influencer strategy
  • Develop reactive and proactive social media campaigns
  • Own and expand the day-to-day management of FOREO’s social media profiles and presence – including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and YouTube to grow FOREO’s following and influence
  • Support local markets with social media training and best practices
  • Manage blogger relations in line with PR
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis and trend awareness
  • Analyze and assess performance and report on ROI
  • Develop and implement a communities strategy
  • Respond to and interact with anyone who is posting on FOREO’s social media accounts

                    *Keep track of all comments and queries

  • Work with Creative and Communication teams to organically amplify the impact of FOREO’s regular communications and PR activity through smart social and community campaigns. This will include working with the PR agency to advise on how the content created or used with traditional media can be used most effectively across social channels to engage relevant audiences
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in social media and maintain relevant networks
  • Other duties as assigned

Required/Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, journalism or other related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a corporate, digital or agency environment with media relations skills and social media experience
  • Ability to clearly communicate and present in Japanese, both verbally and in writing, as well as the ability to craft content for the social media space
  • Adequate business level of spoken and written English to communicate among other offices/colleagues internally
  • Experience with social media management and web analytic tools
  • Strong people skills with the ability to develop relationships and collaborate with diverse groups
  • Intermediate proficiency with G-Suite and/or Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in execution of assigned tasks
  • Ability to adapt to changes and work in a fast paced, demanding environment
  • Dependable and proactive, to include the ability to prioritize workload and use time efficiently
  • Passion for learning about FOREO products
